Bafana Bafana coach Stuart Baxter is confident that his side have what it takes to overcome Senegal in their crucial Fifa World Cup qualifier on Friday.

The South African national team currently occupy fourth place in Group D with four points, trailing top of the table Senegal by four points.

Baxter downplayed talks of any drama taking place within the camp recently, insisting that he is delighted with the spirited atmosphere within the team.

‘The players have worked really well; there has not been any shred of tension within the team. The team have really been in good space,’ Baxter told Safa.net.

‘Drama is good for everyone, even you members of the media; the only person who doesn’t enjoy drama is myself.’

The Bafana Bafana mentor claims he is not worried about the threat that Sadio Mane may pose, stating that he is solely focused on fielding the right team to win the match.

‘We are not worried about Sadio Mane; he is a good player yes, make no mistake, but if we are to listen to what we hear of him, then we are a beaten team. But that is not how football works,’ he added.

‘We respect him yes, but we won’t give him any special treatment.

‘We are not going to bemoan the players we miss, we have an array of good players, and if we put everything into this game, we have what it takes to win this game.’
