Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has called up Kaizer Chiefs captain Given Msimango to replace the injured Grant Kekana in the squad.
The 27-year-old was initially included in Broos’ preliminary squad for their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Msimango did not make the final 23-man squad but has since been recalled to the squad after Kekana picked up an injury.
The Amakhosi captain will now have the opportunity to face Nigeria and Zimbabwe in their two FIFA World Cup qualifiers on June 7 and June 11.
“Bafana Bafana camp in full swing on day 1, with all players present. There is one change to the initial squad announced by Coach Hugo Broos,” Bafana announced on their official Twitter.
“Due to injury, Grant Kekana has been released and Given Msimango has reported for duty!”
