Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has now turned his focus to their upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Liberia in September following their recent defeat by Morocco in the opening Group K match.
The South African national team got their group-stage qualifiers off to a bad start after a 2-1 defeat by Morocco at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium on Thursday night.

Lyle Foster stunned the home fans after he grabbed an eight-minute opener for Bafana, but Morocco fought back as Youssef En-Nesyri beat Williams with a header from close range in the 51st minute before Ayoub El Kaabi scored the winner in the 87th minute to hand his side all three points.
The defeat leaves Bafana at the bottom of the Group K standings with no points after the opening game, while Morocco moved to the summit with three points.
“We now know what to do in September,” Broos told media after the game.
“I was not disappointed with the performance. We fought and we played against a very strong Moroccan team. That was good and let’s hope we can do it in September twice with two victories.”
Broos’ men are now scheduled to host Liberia on 19 September before they travel to West Africa for the return leg against the Lone Stars on 27 September.
