Broos names preliminary squad for the World Cup qualifiers against Benin, Rwanda

Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has named a 44-member preliminary squad for the 2026 Fifa World Cup qualifiers against Benin and Rwanda next month.

The charges led by Broos will play Benin at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban from November 17th to 19th, 2023. On Tuesday, November 21st, 2023, they will go to Huye to play Rwanda.

From Monday, November 13, 2023, to Friday, November 16, 2023, the team will be in camp at the University of Pretoria. They will play Benin in the city on the coast, then go to Rwanda on November 19, 2023, and come back to South Africa on November 22, 2023.

When Broos releases his final list for the two games in the next few days, the preliminary squad will be cut down to 23 players.
