Kaizer Chiefs left back Sibusiso Khumalo revealed that he is ready to take his game to the next level in the hopes of receiving a Bafana Bafana call-up.
The 26-year-old joined Chiefs from SuperSport United in a swop deal that saw Keegan Ritchie go the other way.
Khumalo chose Mamelodi Sundowns over Amakhosi at the end of the 2009-10, but he doesn’t regret his move to the Tshwane giants where he spent too much time on the sidelines, reports Goal.com.
‘No, I don’t have any regrets about that it was in God’s hands. He (God) made me make the decision I did back then,’ Khumalo said.
‘So I wouldn’t say I regret not joining them at that time but now. This was the right time.’
‘Obviously, because I haven’t been called up in the national team before lately. So, now that I am at a big team when I get an opportunity I must grab it with both hands and if I am playing well, I would be in the national team. I have been there before,’ Khumalo added.
This season Khumalo made a total of 19 appearances, scoring one goal in all competitions for SuperSport United.
