SuperSport United midfielder Jesse Donn has been called up to replace the injured Sekhukhune United midfielder Yusuf Maart for Bafana Bafana’s 2022 World Cup qualifiers this week.
Hugo Broos’ charges will take on Zimbabwe and Ghana in their final two group qualifiers on Thursday and Sunday, respectively, with a spot in the next qualifying round up for grabs.
The squad, though, has been hit by a few injuries with Sfiso Hlanti and Mothobi Mvala already on the sidelines.
Now Maart has also been ruled out after the first day of camp after they discovered he was carrying a knee injury.
Sadly due to a knee injury Yusuf Maart sits out of this #WCQ2022 against Zimbabwe and Ghana. We wish him a speedy recovery!

The midfielder featured in both back-to-back World Cup qualifiers against Ethiopia in the last international break and has been replaced by SuperSport youngster Donn.
Donn was in the last squad after a late call-up but did not get any game time.
