Bafana Bafana’s journey in the Fifa World Cup qualifiers came to an end after they suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat by Ghana at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium in their final Group G game this past Sunday evening.

The Black Stars advance to the third round of qualifiers after they were awarded a controversial penalty in the first half, which Andre Ayew converted from the spot kick.

South Africa finished second in Group G level on 13 points with Ghana in first place, with the same goal difference after six matches played in the group.
