Bafana Bafana suffered a shock 2-0 defeat to Rwanda in their second 2026 Fifa World Cup qualifier played at Rwanda at Stade Huye in Butare.
Rwanda opened the scoring in the 12th minute thanks to a goal from Innocent Nshuti before Gilbert Mugisha put the game beyond South Africa just after the half hour mark.
The defeat saw Bafana drop down to second place in the group with three points, while Rwanda moved up to the top spot in the group with four points after two matches.
