Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Lebohang Maboe says he dreams of becoming a regular in Stuart Baxter’s Bafana Bafana squad.

The 23-year-old made a big move from Maritzburg United to Sundowns after an impressive 2017-18 season.

The attacking midfielder made an immediate impact for Pitso Mosimane’s side opening his account in his first start for the Brazilians in the 2-0 win over Polokwane City.

He also formed part of the Bafana Bafana side that participated in the 2018 Cosafa Cup in Polokwane earlier this year.

Maboe is hoping to impress Baxter in the hope of earning a call up to the South African national team.

‘That’s what I am looking forward to achieving. It’s one of my dreams actually, to be one of the national team’s regular players,’ Maboe told KickOff.com.

Baxter is expected to announce his squad for the upcoming 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Libya and Seychelles later this month.
