Bafana Bafana midfielder Lebogang Maboe says their supporters can expect the same performance against Seychelles in the return leg on Tuesday.

The Mamelodi Sundowns man produced an outstanding performance for Bafana in their African Cup of Nations qualifier on Saturday in their 6-0 thumping of the Pirates at the FNB Stadium.

The South African national team will go into the next encounter high in confidence after moving to the top of Group E with seven points, while Seychelles are yet to register their first point in the group.

Maboe said he is excited to improve his performance and express himself without any added pressure.

‘I am relishing the prospect of facing the same team on Tuesday and try to do even better than my performance on Saturday. We should win on Tuesday if we put the same performance as the one we put on Saturday,’ Maboe told Safa.net.

‘I was satisfied with my performance because I thought I gave it my best. I didn’t preserve any energy and expressed myself freely on the pitch. I also played according to instructions and within the team structure and everything fell into place.

‘They told me never to try anything spectacular but play my normal game.’

Bafana Bafana will now travel to Linte Stadium in Victoria when they take on Seychelles in the Afcon qualifier on Tuesday with kick-off scheduled for 3:30pm.
