Bafana Bafana are bracing themselves for their semi-final clash against Swaziland in the 2016 Cosafa Cup at Sam Nujoma Stadium on Wednesday.

Bafana Bafana progressed into the semi-finals after defeating Lesotho 4-2 on penalties in the quarter finals, the same result in the Swaziland and Zambia clash.

Swaziland coach Harris Bulunga played under the leadership of Bafana Bafana Coach Shakes Mashaba during his tenure in Swaziland, reports Safa.net.

Mashaba insists it will be a tough match as Swaziland finished top of their group.

‘This should be another interesting match. Swaziland has had a great run in the Cosafa Cup finishing top of Group A,’ Mashaba said.

The 65-year-old coach went on to say that his mandate for the squad is to prepare them for the upcoming Rio Olympic games in August.

‘We expect a very fast game as they have some very talented and physically strong players. But our mission here is beyond this tournament. This is the squad that will be going to the Rio Olympics and shaping that squad into a winning team begins here,’ he added.

Bafana Bafana will be without defender Kwanda Mngonyama and midfielder Phumlani Ntshangase after suffering long-term injuries.

While, midfielder Gift Motupa will also not be available for the match after receiving a red card in the previous match.

Bafana Bafana will take on Swaziland in the Cosafa Cup semi-finals at the Sam Nujoma Stadium on Wednesday.

Kick-off has been set for 18:00.
