Shakes Mashaba’s future as Bafana Bafana coach looks bleak after further details surrounding his suspension have been revealed.

Mashaba is facing disciplinary action by Safa following his actions on Saturday after what was arguably his most significant win during his reign as South Africa coach.

Sowetan Live reveal that the national team coach refused to shake hands with the association’s president Danny Jordaan and chief executive Dennis Mumble following the 2-1 win over Senegal.

Mashaba is believed to have snubbed the powerful duo before embarking on a rant.

‘He simply ignored them and started shouting, saying “I did this without anyone’s support”.

‘This seemed directed at the Safa leadership,’ a Sowetan source said.

A clip of his continued rant has been making its rounds with a SABC employee saying that ‘it would have been bad to put him on TV when he was raging like that’.

Mashaba’s actions have left Safa no choice but to fire the experienced coach, according to the source.
