After already losing Thamsanqa Mkhize and Brandon Petersen, Bafana Bafana are facing a number of concerns with Percy Tau, Bradley Grobler, Bongani Zungu and others all arriving injured at the side’s training camp.
The Cape Town City defender and Bidvest Wits goalkeeper have already been withdrawn from the squad due to injury and Bafana coach Molefi Ntseki could be forced into making further changes as a number of star men arrived carrying knocks.
The South African national team take on Mali in the Nelson Mandela Challenge on Saturday at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth, in Ntseki’s first game as national team coach.
The coach, though, could be without a host of stars as reports indicate that Furman, Zungu and Tau are battling with niggling injuries.
Then, in a later update on Monday afternoon, Bafana confirmed on Twitter that Ronwen Williams, Kermit Erasmus and Bradley Grobler are also carrying knocks and missed training on Monday afternoon.
