Bafana Bafana coach Molefi Ntseki admits to having butterflies in his stomach ahead of his first game in charge of the national team this weekend.

Bafana will play their first game under Ntseki after their international friendly match against Zambia and Madagascar were called off due to the recent xenophobic attacks in the country.

They will now take on Mali in the Nelson Mandela Challenge in Port Elizabeth on Sunday.

Speaking to the media after their friendly against Chippa United, Ntseki insisted that it’s normal for a coach to have butterflies before a match.

‘As a coach you’ll always have butterflies [in the stomach] because every game you play you want to win. The butterflies are actually your conscience, and you can’t go into a game when you don’t have any conscience. You have your best players … they [opponents] will have their best players; you have your tactical strategy, they will have their tactical strategy. I hope everything goes well for me, I hope I win the match. But the preparation is that of winning the game,’ Ntseki told the media.
