The South African national team will now take on the Stallions during the international break in their World Cup qualifiers encounter.
The 66-year-old coach says he welcomes the challenge of taking on Burkina Faso and he believes his side are ready physically and mentally.
‘This is not going to be a walkover. It will be tough but I believe we are mentally and physically ready to welcome any challenge,’ Mashaba said.
Mashaba says he his will go all out against the Stallions and will not leave anything to chance.
‘You don’t want to play catch up as we did in the Africa Cup of Nations. We lost our campaign for Gabon in our two opening matches when we drew and lost to Gambia and Mauritania respectively,’ he added.
‘We have learnt our lesson and want to stamp our authority from the word go.’
