Bafana Bafana midfielder Thabo Cele has completed his move to Russian Premier League side FC Fakel Voronezh after parting ways with Radomiak Radom.

The 26-year-old completed his move to Fakel Voronezh ahead of the 2023/24 season.

The Bafana Bafana international was heavily linked with a move to Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs over the past few months but opted to remain abroad.

The Russian outfit have since confirmed the capture of Cele on their official website after he parted ways with Radomiak Radom.

The Russian Premier League released the following statement after capturing the services of the South African midfielder, which reads:

“Thabo Sele was born in South Africa in 1997. At the age of 19, he signed a contract with Real S.K. – the club of the third Portuguese league. ”

“A year later, he signed a contract with Benfica, but continued to play for Real S.K. on lease. After playing two seasons for the Portuguese club Cova Piedade, Sele moved to the Polish Radomyak. For two seasons, the midfielder played 33 matches in the Polish championship.

“He played four matches for the main national team of South Africa, played for the national team at the Olympic Games in Tokyo, and played for the youth team at the World Championship among football players under 20 years old.
