Bafana Bafana captain Ronwen Williams says his side have to silence the home fans when they take on Congo Brazzaville in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Tuesday.
South Africa easily defeated Congo 5-0 in their AFCON qualifier at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha.
Teboho Mokoena scored twice, and Bathusi Aubaas, Lyle Foster, and Iqraam Rayners added goals to help Bafana win all three points.
Broos’ troops are now in second place in Group K, with seven points from three games, ahead of their next match against the same opponents on Tuesday.
“Obviously we know that we are in a different country, and we are not at home,” Williams told Safa.
“We can feel it, but we have got the experience, and we know how to deal with playing away. We have gained valuable experience over the last few years.
“We have a group of players that have been together for three years now, so it is for us to go out there and do the best we can do, fight, challenge and be determined in every duel and make sure we keep the fans quiet.
“The fans can give them energy and boost them.”
