Orlando Pirates look to be on the verge of securing the signatures of Bidvest Wits pair Thulani Hlatshwayo and Deon Hotto, with the club reportedly already agreeing deals with the Clever Boys.

The duo, along with a host of other players at the club, have been put on sale as a part of the club’s attempts to sell.

Hotto and Hlatshwayo have thus gained instant attention from the biggest clubs in the country with Pirates, Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs all showing interest.

Chiefs’ interest has been curtailed by their transfer ban and while Sundowns showed serious interest in the duo, it appears they both have their hearts set on signing for the Buccaneers.

‘Club-to-club deal between Pirates and Wits is done. The only thing that was left was for the player to make a decision to join Pirates or Sundowns,’ said a source in a KickOff.com report.

‘Pirates have since presented a new offer too good to resist. Hotto is expected to sign with Pirates in the next few days.’

The Bafana Bafana captain has also been a long-term target of the Sea Robbers and it looks like they finally got their man.

‘Pirates have got him. He has told Sundowns he will join Pirates‚’ a source told the Sowetan in a separate report.

Sundowns had bid for Hlatshwayo‚ Haashim Domingo and Deon Hotto‚ but a source said they will only succeed with Domingo at this stage.
