Twenty-five parties have expressed interest in owning one of the six franchises that will participate in South Africa’s new franchise league next year.
This is according to Rapport newspaper, which has learned that at least six of those 25 parties were involved in CSA’s failed T20 Global League in 2018.
The Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans have already begun preliminary talks with the Northerns Titans.
Rapport has previously reported that the Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, Mumbai Indians and a consortium led by former English batsman Kevin Pietersen have also shown interest.
They include owners and consortia from across the Indian subcontinent, with stakeholders in Dubai, Pakistan and Hong Kong.
CSA has signed an agreement with SuperSport to form a new company that will manage the tournament which will effectively replace the ill-fated Mzanzi Super League.
