The Kings XI Punjab secured their third consecutive victory by beating the Delhi Capitals by four wickets in Dubai on Tuesday.
A solid bowling display by the KXIP attack helped restrict the quality Capitals batting lineup to 164-5 in their 20 overs, despite a second century in as many games by captain Shikhar Dhawan, who produced a knock of 106 off 61 deliveries.

With Anrich Nortje granted a rest for the encounter, the Capitals welcomed Australian Daniel Sams into the lineup to lead the attack alongside Proteas star Kagiso Rabada.

But, valuable efforts by KL Rahul and Chris Gayle at the top of the order were backed up by an excellent half-century by Nicholas Pooran and a quick-fire 32 from 24 balls by Glen Maxwell down the order as the KXIP took control.
Rabada continued his accuracy with the ball, however, claiming figures of 2-27 in his four overs – but it wasn’t enough as KXIP got over the line with one over remaining.
Having started their campaign with a couple of defeats, the KXIP are now gathering momentum moving up to sixth on the IPL log with the win.
