Richard Levi scored 69 off just 39 balls as Western Province beat the Boland Rocks by six wickets in the opening match of the T20 Challenge at St George’s Park on Monday.
Levi smashed nine fours and three sixes upon his WP return to set up their run chase.
Dane Vilas (21), George Linde (20*) and Aviwe Mgijima (26*) also played their part as Province reached the target of 143 with three overs to spare.
Hardus Viljoen was Boland’s best bowler, taking 3-16.
Earlier, the Rocks recovered from 47-4 to post 142-6 thanks to 46 from Christiaan Jonker and Ferisco Adams’ 34.
Beuran Hendricks (2-28) and George Linde (2-13) shined with the ball for WP.
