The Mumbai Indians will meet the Rising Pune Supergiant in the IPL final, after crushing the Kolkata Knight Riders by six wickets.

The Kolkata Knight Riders struggled from the get-go, and they were bundled out for 107. Karn Sharma (4-16) and Jasprit Bumrah (3-7) demolished the MI’s top seven for 94 in just 16.1 overs.

This was Bumrah’s best career figures as the 23-year-old helped throttle KKR with a magnificent bowling display.

Ishank Jaggi (28 off 31 balls) and Suryakumar Yadav (31 off 25 balls) top-scored for Kolkata as they dwindled to a measly 107 in 18.5 overs.

The Mumbai Indians, similarly, struggled to string together partnerships as they lost three wickets for 34 runs in 5.3 overs. Piyush Chawla (2-34) showed a great deal of versatility, bowling a googly for his first wicket and a leg-spinner for his second to help his side to the start they needed.

Rohit Sharma helped steady the ship with a well-played 24-ball 26, supported by top-scorer Krunal Pandya, as the pair put on a 54-run partnership.

Pandya continued to push forward, ending on 42 off 3o deliveries to take his side over the line with a six-wicket victory.

The Mumbai Indians will meet the Rising Pune Supergiant in what will be their fourth IPL final on Sunday, when the top two clash at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
