A David Miller masterclass helped the Proteas recover from a nightmare start and ultimately claim a comfortable victory over Ireland in the second T20I at Civil Service Cricket Club, Belfast.
Batting first, the Proteas crumbled to 58-8, but an important partnership between Miller (75*) and Wiaan Mulder (36) recovered the innings.
It was particularly the power hitting of Miller late in the piece which moved South Africa to a competitive 159-7.
Bjorn Fortuin (3-16) and Tabraiz Shamsi (3-14) then starred the with the ball as the Proteas ultimately came away with a 42-run win.
