Ayabonga Khaka and Marizanne Kapp ripped through the top order as Bangladesh were skittled for 71 to set up a nine-wicket win and seal the series for the Proteas Women.

It was another dominant bowling display by the Proteas Women.

Khaka (3-16) led the line with Kapp (2-15) and they took two wickets apiece up front to rock the visitors at 4-6 in the opening four overs. Kapp was first to strike, dismissing Sanjida Islam and Fargana Hoque in the third over. Khaka, in her 50th ODI, followed in suit in the fourth over, sending Rumana Ahmed and Sharmin Sultana packing.

Debutant Zintle Mali, Masabata Klaas, Raisibe Ntozakhe and Chloe Tryon shared the remaining wickets with Khaka’s third being the final scalp, leaving Nigar Sultana unbeaten on 33.

In a repeat of the second ODI, the Proteas chased the 72-run target with ease, losing just one wicket.

Lizelle Lee led the line and scored an unbeaten 44 off 51 balls – containing five fours and one six – supported by Trisha Chetty’s 15, after Andrie Steyn was caught behind by the keeper on 12.

This sealed a third win for the Proteas in their five-match series, finishing off the contest with just under 36 overs remaining.
