Proteas Women’s star Marizanne Kapp has moved up to second spot in both the ICC Women’s ODI Bowling and All-rounder Rankings.

While there were no real South African movements in any of the T20I rankings, despite sealing a series win over India this past weekend, Kapp and others made some headway in the 50-over format.

Kapp climbed two places from fourth to second in the bowling rankings, while she starts the new week as the second-best all-rounder the world with Australia’s Elysse Perry still leading the way.

Mignon du Preez gained four slots in the batting department to reach 16th position after her knock of 57, while Anne Bosch has progressed on both the batting and bowling lists. She has gained 58 slots to reach 70th among batters and five places to 85th among bowlers.

Meanwhile, Proteas opener Lizelle Lee experienced another short tenure at the top of the ODI batting rankings with England’s Tammy Beaumont back on top.

Lee, however, gained three spots in the T20I batting rankings to reach 11th position after her match-winning 70 helped South Africa to a winning 2-0 lead.

Laura Wolvaardt has risen five places to 24th after guiding her team to victory with an unbeaten 53 in the second match, while captain Sune Luus (up five places to 38th) and Nadine de Klerk (up three to 74th) are the other South Africans to advance on the batting list.
