Ricky Ponting says he is relishing the chance to watch South Africa take on USA in the T20 World Cup at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium on Wednesday.
The Proteas coming into this fixture on an unbeaten run in the group stages after defeating Sri Lanka, Netherlands, Bangladesh and Nepal.
Meanwhile, the United States claim two out of three win after they beat Canada and Pakistan, while conceding their only defeat against India.
South Africa and the United States are now set to face in the upcoming clash in North Sound, with the match scheduled for 4pm.
Ponting admits he has been impressed by both teams during the tournament and is relishing to chance to see the two sides square off.
“I had them pencilled in as one of the favourites going into the tournament,” Ponting told the T20 World Cup website.
“I still think they’re a really dangerous team. If their batting clicks, they will be a dangerous team going forward.
“It’s been great reward for a lot of the hard work they’ve put in.
“If they turn up and they play their best, and South Africa are 5 per cent off their game, it could go either way.
“This next phase is going to be even more exciting than what we’ve seen so far and I can’t wait.”
