Following his superb 4-39 against England on Monday, Kagiso Rabada has moved to the summit of the ICC ODI Bowler rankings.
Just five days on from his 22nd birthday, Rabada has become the youngest player to reach No 1 since Pakistan’s Saqlain Mushtaq in 1998.
South Africa now have the top two bowlers on the rankings after Rabada replaced legspinner Imran Tahir atop the rankings.
South Africa also boast four batsmen inside the top ten in AB de Villiers (1), Quinton de Kock (4), Faf du Plessis (6) and Hashim Amla (10).
South Africa have also retained their place as the No 1 ranked team on the ICC ODI rankings.
This comes as a timely boost for the Proteas as they begin their Champions Trophy campaign against Sri Lanka at the Oval on Saturday.
