Rain ended play on day four of the Ashes at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, with Australia on 103-2 and trailing by 61 runs.
England’s dreadful Ashes series suffered another blow as rain got the upper hand over the team who are searching for their first win in the series.
A double-century from Alastair Cook put England in command after bowling Australia out for 327 on day two before batting out day two and three to finish on 491-9.

England never lasted long in the middle on day four, as Pat Cummins picked up his fourth scalp to remove James Anderson for a duck on the first ball of the day.
Australia powered to 103-2 before rain stopped play. David Warner battled to end on an uncharacteristic 140-ball 40, while Steve Smith ended the day on 25 off 67 balls.
Anderson and Chris Woakes grabbed scalps for England, dismissing Usman Khawaja (11) and Cameron Bancroft (27) respectively.
The match will start 30 minutes earlier on day five, to make up for time lost.
