Ben Stokes and Sam Curran led the way as England defeated Pakistan to win the Twenty20 World Cup on Sunday, becoming the sport’s first dual white-ball champions.
Jos Buttler’s team held Pakistan to a score of 137-8 in front of 80,462 cheering fans at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Stokes’ unbeaten 52 helped them win by five wickets with six balls left to play.
