Proteas fast bowler Marco Jansen and batsman Aiden Markram were bought by the Sunrisers Hyderabad early on day two of the IPL auction.

Jansen, who played for the Mumbai Indians in last year’s IPL, was picked up for R8.4 million (4.2 Indian crore), while Markram, who had a short stint with the Punjab Kings, went for R5.2m (2.6 crore).

Lungi Ngidi, Tabraiz Shamsi and Rassie van der Dussen went unsold on Sunday.

On Saturday, Proteas fast bowler Kagiso Rabada was bought for R18.6m (9.25 Indian crore) by the Punjab Kings.

Proteas wicketkeeper-batsman Quinton de Kock was bought for R13.5m (6.75 crore) by new IPL franchise the Lucknow Super Giants. He had previously played for the Mumbai Indians.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore picked up Faf du Plessis, formerly of the Chennai Super Kings, for R14m (7 crore).

SA U19 star Dewald Brevis was bought for R6m (3 crore) by the Mumbai Indians.

David Miller went unsold.
