Our essential guide to the second T20I between the Proteas and Bangladesh, which gets under way on Sunday at Senwes Park, Potchefstroom.

The Proteas will have one thing on their mind – completing a treble of whitewash wins against Bangladesh across all formats. Having gone up 1-0 with a 20-run win in Bloemfontein, the Proteas will aim to seal the series with a victory at Senwes Park. Despite South Africa smashing 196 in the first T20, Bangladesh showed good fight as they gave South Africa’s inexperienced bowling lineup some trouble early on. Both sides showed good form with the bat, and the pitch in Potchefstroom, known to be flat and slow, could give the team that bats first the advantage.

JP Duminy still needs to prove doubters wrong after failing to perform in the first T20, scoring only 13. As captain, he made some good calls in the field, especially with the review for Paterson’s second wicket, but it is with the bat that he needs to prove himself.

Hashim Amla was South Africa’s worst batsman in Bloemfontein, and will aim to lead from the front with an in-form Quinton de Kock. AB de Villiers was disappointed at missing out on a half-century by one run in the first T20, and will aim to impress in the second T20.
