India secured their passage to the T20 World Cup final after claiming a 68-run victory over defending champions England at Guyana National Stadium in Providence.
In the 2022 semi-finals, England, who had defeated India by 10 wickets, slumped to 103 all out while needing to chase 172. The two spinners, Kuldeep Yadav (3-19) and Axar Patel (3-23), shared six wickets between them.
After losing the toss, India scored 171-7 in a rain-interrupted innings led by skipper Rohit Sharma (who got his third fifty of the competition) and Suryakumar Yadav (47).
In the first semi-final on Wednesday, South Africa defeated Afghanistan by nine wickets to secure their spot in the Barbados final on Saturday.
At this tournament, neither South Africa nor India have dropped a game yet.
India will be vying for their first major championship since winning the Champions Trophy in 2013. The team lost the 50-over World Cup final against Australia at home last year.
