South Africa wicketkeeper Quinton de Kock will contest the ICC charge of bringing disrepute to the game and will have a hearing on Wednesday evening.
He was involved in an ugly spat with Australian batsman David Warner at tea on day four of the first Test at Kingsmead in Durban, which resulted in both players being charged.

Warner, who faced a level two charge, accepted match referee Jeff Crowe’s sanction against him, and will be fined 75% of his match fee – approximately R125 000 – and given three demerit points.

Regardless of the outcome, De Kock will be available for the second Test in Port Elizabeth as he was handed a lesser level one charge. The heaviest penalty he faces is a fine.
The controversial Warner reportedly called the South Africa wicketkeeper’s mother and sister ‘bush pigs’, and referred to him as ‘a f***ing sook’. ‘Sook’ is an Australian slang term for someone who is soft, and lacking spirit and self-confidence.
De Kock is alleged to have responded by making derogatory comments about Warner’s wife.
