Kagiso Rabada remains suspended for the third Test despite challenging his Level 2 charge for making contact with Australia’s Steve Smith at St George’s Park.
The ICC confirmed on Twitter on Wednesday that the 22-year-old will attend a hearing to dispute his suspension.
This followed CSA’s confirmation that Rabada will appoint a legal team to help his cause.
‘Kagiso will be appealing his charge. The ICC have 48 hours to appoint a Judicial Commissioner and thereafter, a hearing will be heard within a seven-day period,’ said a CSA spokeswoman.
‘As mentioned, Kagiso remains suspended unless the appointed Judicial Commissioner finds enough reason or argument to allow him to play in the third Test. CSA will advise in due course who the legal team will be.’
