South Western Districts and Western Province have progressed to the quarter-finals of the T20 Knock Out tournament.
This followed a six-wicket win by WP over the Northern Cape Heat at the Kimberley Oval on Sunday.
WP had to reach their target of 164 by the first ball of the 20th over to qualify at the Lions’ expense and they did so off the second ball of the 19th.
Zubayr Hamza top-scored for WP with 62 off 50 balls, while Jonathan Bird smashed 42 off 23 balls as WP won by six wickets.
Evan Jones made 50 off 35 balls for the Northern Cape Heat, with WP’s Wayne Parnell taking 3-30.
