Proteas opener Laura Wolvaardt has become the top-ranked ODI women’s batter in the world.
Wolvaardt has scored the most runs at the 2022 Women’s World Cup (433) and made five half-centuries, with her top score of 90 coming against tournament favourites Australia in Wellington last week.
Wolvaardt’s elevation means Alyssa Healy loses her top ranking, with the Australia wicketkeeper-batter dropping four places to fifth.
