Ahead of the upcoming 2023-24 season, SportsClub takes a look at who features in the DStv Premiership’s most valuable starting XI.
The current total of the most valuable starting XI in the DStv Premiership is R1.6 billion (€81.8m), according to Transfermarkt.com.
The highest-valued player on the list is Mamelodi Sundowns forward Peter Shalulile who is valued at R49.7m followed by his teammates Teboho Mokoena and Marcelo Allende at R39.8m, while Thapelo Morena makes up the top three on the list with a valuation of R29.8m.
Meanwhile, Kaizer Chiefs attacker Keagan Dolly is placed fourth with a value of R27.8m while in joint fifth place is Sundowns duo Ronwen Williams and Aubrey Modiba on R25.8m
Making up the bottom three on the list is Orlando Pirates star Nkosinathi Sibisi on R23.8m followed by Cape Town City captain Taariq Fielies with a value of R21.8m, and Thabo Nodada of Cape Town City and Kaizer Chiefs attacker Ashley Du Preez, who are both on R19.8m.
