South African National U20 coach Thabo Senong has named a 29-man squad ahead of the international friendly match against Zambia in Ndola on February 12.
Amajita will now regroup for the second phase of their U20 Africa Cup of Nations preparations at the Safa National Technical Centre on February 7, 2017.
Senong says his side needs to be thorough in their preparations for the participation in the U20 Afcon campaign in Zambia from February 26 – March 12,
‘We are preparing for a very important tournament, the biggest youth tournament on the continent (u20 Africa Cup of Nations) and we need to be thorough in our preparations,’ Senong told Safa.net.
Amajita will travel to the Mwanawasa Stadium when they take on Zambia in an international friendly match on February 10.
South Africa have been placed in Group B, together with Cameroon, Senegal and Sudan while Group A consists of hosts Zambia, Egypt, Mali and Guinea in the continental tournament.
