China’s Shanshan Feng had four consecutive top-five results going into this week’s Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia, where she finally got the job done with a three stroke victory over Suzann Pettersen.

‘It feels great,’ said Feng. ‘My record here is really good, especially the past four years. I had a very fantastic week, every time I come back here, it makes me feel like I’m at home. I’m really relaxed and I love everything, love the food, love the people. So I’m really looking forward to come back every year.’

Feng, who won bronze at the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, began her round on Sunday with a bogey at the first hole of TPC Kuala Lumpur.

It was her first and last mistake of the day, after which she birdied the third and fifth holes to take her round into the red.

On the back nine she put the worries to rest with birdies at the 11th, 14th, and 15th. She parred her way to the clubhouse and LPGA Tour victory number five.

South Africa’s Lee-Anne Pace had a rollercoaster week that included rounds of 69, 75, 66, 72. She finished the tournament at two under par and shared 33rd place with three others including American Stacy Lewis.

Paula Reto fought her way back into a decent payday with a Sunday round of 69 in Malaysia, totalling two over par for the week.
