China’s Shanshan Feng claimed her fourth Dubai Ladies Masters title with a Saturday 64 at Emirates Golf Club, capping off the season with a two-stroke victory.

The 27 year old showed her course knowledge in the windy final round by making eight birdies and no bogeys. She sailed past overnight leader Felicity Johnson and set the winning total at 10 under par.

‘I knew that it was going to be windy today and I knew that playing in the wind is one of my strongest parts,’ said Feng. ‘So even though I was five behind, but you know, in the morning, I always thought that maybe I would still have a chance to win this week and I tried my best. 8-under was a pretty good score.’

England’s Charley Hull put her hand up with a seven under par round of 65, but could not reign lady who won bronze at the Olympics.

‘Hit it pretty well, pretty decent and it was really windy today. So I’m quite happy with my score in the conditions,’ said Hull.

Ashleigh Simon also competed in Rio this year and was in the mix alongside Feng once again in Dubai this week with a tie for fifth place.

The two-time Ladies European Tour winner shot 70 on Saturday for a five under par total, ending her season with a strong result.
