Dylan Frittelli’s form at last week’s Volvo China Open, where he finished runner-up, has been rewarded with him gatecrashing the world’s top 100 for the first time in his career.
Frittelli’s rise this year has been impressive. He signed off 2016 ranked No 152, and has steadily improved in the first half of 2017. Going into the China Open he was 123rd, but he now stands at No 94. The 26-year-old held a three-shot lead heading into the final round in Beijing, but was hauled in by the Frenchman Alexander Levy, who went on to win the tournament at the first play-off hole.
There is only one change in the top 10, with Justin Thomas (up from No 11) replacing Adam Scott at No 10. Both Charl Schwartzel (No 18) and Branden Grace (No 22) remain in the same positions they were in last week, but Louis Oosthuizen has dropped down one place to No 32.
The winner of the Zambia Open, Oliver Bekker, is another big mover. He climbed 170 positions to a career high 271.
