South African eyes were on the Nedbank Golf Challenge this Saturday, but Jbe’ Kruger was flying the flag high at the Manila Masters, where he shot 67.

The three-time Sunshine Tour winner made five birdies on the front side, but dropped a shot at the eighth to turn in 32. He kept rising with birdies at the 11th and 15th, but made one last bogey at the 16th before signing for 67.

He was 13 under par and three shots behind leader Sutijet Kooratanapisan ahead of the final round.

‘My plan tomorrow is to attack the fairways and greens,’ he said. ‘I’ll be aggressive. I don’t want to think too much as that will give me added pressure. I’ve to stay patient and stick to my game plan.’

Zimbabwe’s Scott Vincent was also playing well and shared 12th place on 11 under par, having carded rounds of 66, 68, and 71 respectively.
