Louis Oosthuizen will move to the PGA Championship on the back of a strong week at the WGC-FedEx St Jude Invitational.

Oosthuizen’s share of sixth (68-67-68-68) at TPC Southwind in Memphis earned him a whopping $268,333 or R4,612,220.

The result bumped him up a place in the world rankings, which now features Justin Thomas on top. The American leads Jon Rahm and Rory McIlroy.

Second and third, from a South African point of view, in the world rankings are Erik van Rooyen and Christiaan Bezuidenhout. The pair, both seeking to play their way on to full-time status on the PGA Tour, shared 20th on Sunday.

In the process, they earned $106,200 (R1,825,408) and solidified their spots inside the top 50. Van Rooyen closed with a 65 – only Ryan Palmer shot lower in the final round – to remain 44th in the world.

Bezuidenhout, who’s third-round 64 vaulted him up the leaderboard, stayed put in 47th place.

Shaun Norris earned $30,625 for his week’s work. He ended down in T75.
