Joost Luiten was going to be tough to beat at the KLM Open this week, but even he didn’t expect to shoot 63 in the final round for a three-shot victory.

The Dutch course yielded 10 birdies to Luiten, who was 19 under par for the tournament and three strokes clear of runner-up Bernd Wiesberger. Talented Korean Byeong Hun An was sole third on 13 under par.

Brandon Stone was the leading South African and shot 71 on Sunday to tie for 10th place with five others, including Tommy Fleetwood.

Stone wasn’t able to get the momentum going in the final round, but his Saturday 63 will be a confidence boost as the European Tour season heats up.

His eight-under-par third round set a new course record, which Luiten matched on Sunday en route to his fifth European Tour win.
