Securing a fifth victory since the start of last year, Dustin Johnson is by no means planning to take his foot off the gas and is eager to become even better.

Johnson’s incredible run of form only got better with victory at the Saudi International this past weekend, strengthening his grip at the top of the world rankings in the process.

The 36-year-old claimed a two-stroke win at the Royal Greens Golf and Country Club but immediately highlighted areas where he can improve.

‘I’m definitely going to work on the putting but I feel like there’s always room for improvement throughout game, no matter how you’re hitting it. I still can get better with a lot of things I feel like,’ he said at the end of Sunday’s final round.

Johnson won the Saudi International at its inauguration two years ago and was part of a strong contingent of American players in action this year.

A different challenge awaited the PGA Tour regulars with Johnson admitting the wind made it difficult to read some of the greens.

‘I feel like I’m putting it well. I just wasn’t holing anything. I was misreading them. The greens are tricky and with the wind, too, you have to play some wind, so it was definitely hard to get a really good line.

‘So, I’ll go home and work on that a little bit but I’ll be worrying on all parts of my game, just always try to get better,’ he added.

‘ It was a great field this year, so to get a victory, I’m very proud of that. It’s a big win. I’m looking forward to coming back next year,’ he added.
