How South Africa’s overseas contingent performed over the past week.
Genesis Scottish Open (DP World Tour/PGA Tour)
Dean Burmester finished the week on two under par for a share of 10th place, five shots behind the winner, American Xander Schauffele. The 33-year carded 68-72-70-68 at The Renaissance Club in a confidence-boosting performance ahead of The Open.
Christiaan Bezuidenhout‘s final-round 66 lifted him to one under for the tournament and a share of 16th.
Thriston Lawrence and Branden Grace ended on level par (T24), Dylan Frittelli on two over (T47) and Justin Harding on eight over (T66).
Brandon Stone, Daniel van Tonder, Erik van Rooyen and Garrick Higgo all missed the cut.
Le Vaudreuil Golf Challenge (Challenge Tour)
Deon Germishuys finished on 11 under for the tournament, three shots out of the playoff, which was won by England’s Nathan Kimsey. As a result, the 22-year-old South African climbed seven places in the Challenge Tour rankings to 15th and remains on track to win his DP World Tour card at the end of the season.
Jayden Schaper shared 55th position after ending on two over, while Bryce Easton, Jacques Blaauw, Ruan Conradie, Luke Jerling and Pieter Moolman all missed the cut.
Bridgestone Senior Players Championship (PGA Tour Champions)
Ernie Els shared third spot after carding an eight-under-par 272 at the Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio (67-68-69-68). The tournament was won by American Jerry Kelly (11 under).
Retief Goosen finished on three over (T35) and David Frost on 10 over (T59).
Swiss Seniors Open (Legends Tour)
James Kingston secured his second official Legends Tour title by winning the Swiss Seniors Open at Golf Club Bad Ragaz. The 56-year-old ended the tournament on 11 under par, three shots ahead of England’s Phillip Price and Welshman David Shacklady.
Chris Willams finished on one under (T24) and Clinton Whitelaw on 13 over (T60).
Estrella Damm Ladies Open (Ladies European Tour)
Lee-Anne Pace shared 28th place after finishing on two under for the tournament at Club de Golf Terramar in Sitges, Spain, which was won by local Ciganda Carlota (18 under).
Casandra Alexander ended on level par (T37) and Stacy Lee Bregman one over (T42), while Lejan Lewthwaite failed to make the cut.
