Jordan Spieth won a three-way playoff with a birdie on the first extra hole at Royal Sydney Golf Club to claim the Australian Open.

The American edged out Ashley Hall and Cameron Smith after the three players all finished regulation play tied on 12 under par. The trio returned to the 18th tee box for a sudden-death hole and Spieth found the middle of the fairway, middle of the green, and drilled home the putt for birdie and the win.
