Zimbabwe’s Scott Vincent shot 64 on Friday at the Venetian Macao Open to share the lead with five others, all tied on eight under par.

‘I hit some good shots early and knew we had to get out of the gates early. I managed to take advantage of some fairly easy holes and got the round going and kept it from there,’ he said.

Vincent was bogey-free and had the low round of the day at Macau Golf & Country Club, where he made five birdies on the front side to turn in 30.

He gained two more strokes with birdies at the 10th and 12th, then parred his way to the clubhouse to co-lead midway through the $1.1-million tournament.

Branden Grace was tied for 31st place on two under par, while Jbe’ Kruger shared 38th place on one under par. Brazil’s Adilson da Silva snuck into the weekend at level-par for the tournament.
