15-time Major champion Tiger Woods and his caddie Joe LaCava are being sued for an incident that occurred with a fan back at the 2018 Valspar Championship.
The event took place at the Copperhead Course at the Innisbrook Golf Resort in Tampa, Florida, with a local man Brian Borruso accusing LaCava of shoving him into other spectators after Woods hit his tee-shot into the crowd on the 13th hole of the third round of the competition.
Woods, who remains responsible for the actions of his caddie, has also been named in the lawsuit after Borruso’s lawyer Josh Dreschel filed a case at the Florida’s Pinellas County on Tuesday.

Borruso is believed to be claiming $30 000 worth of damages after he had to be admitted to hospital following the incident, which led to a loss of income as well as a recurring health issue.
In a statement Dreschel has called upon the public to come forward with any evidence of the incident two years ago to help their case in court.
‘We’re asking anyone who was there to contact us and let us know if you saw the incident, if you know whose voices are on the video and if you may have video or pictures of the incident.
‘Unfortunately, the PGA has refused to cooperate, even though we are confident they have the incident on video,’ Dreschel said.
