Leicester City winger Marc Albrighton has become the latest player to commit his future to the Foxes by signing a new deal that keeps him at the club until 2020.

The consistently high standards set by the 26-year-old on City’s left-hand side last season were instrumental in helping Claudio Ranieri’s team march towards the Premier League title, reports the Leicester City website.

Albrighton joins Wes Morgan, Jamie Vardy, Riyad Mahrez, Andy King, Danny Drinkwater, Kasper Schmeichel, Ben Chilwell and manager Claudio Ranieri in signing new deals.

‘The club has been great to me since I signed, I’ve had some amazing times here and we’ve reached the ultimate by winning the league last year,’ Albrighton said

‘I just think there’s a really good feeling around the place. Everyone seems to want to stay at the club and I think that’s a massive credit to how far the club has come in the last few years. It’s exciting times for Leicester City Football Club and I want to be a part of that.’

Albrighton joined the Foxes on a free transfer in the summer of 2014 after his contract with boyhood club Aston Villa had expired. He made more than 100 appearances for the Villans as well as a loan spell with Wigan.

Over the course of his career, Albrighton has created 40 goals and has netted 35 times from 234 appearances in playing for the likes of Aston Villa, Wigan, and Leicester.
